Overview
myPlan is a safety planning resource for individuals experiencing relationship violence, and our latest project focused on revitalizing its social media presence and brand identity. Tasked as the social media expert and brand designer, I led the conceptual direction, reimagined the visual language, and established a more trauma-informed, empowering brand voice. This initiative mattered deeply because the audience relies on clarity and support during vulnerable moments.
Problem:
The original myPlan social media presence and brand messaging felt impersonal and lacked the visual and linguistic clarity required to support users experiencing sensitive situations. The tone was sometimes clinical, and the visuals did not provide a calming, approachable atmosphere, leading to missed opportunities in user engagement and trust.
Solution:
I redefined the brand identity and social content strategy with a trauma-informed approach, prioritizing supportive language, a calming color palette, and clear, compassionate messaging. The redesign encourages trust, empowers users, and creates a welcoming space for those seeking help.
Goals
Establish a supportive and trauma informed brand voice that resonates with users’ emotional needs.
Enhance visual identity for a calming, engaging, and trustworthy digital presence.
Boost user engagement and trust through accessible communication and messaging.
